This swivel hook (https://www.houseofantiquehardware.com/cast-iron-swivel-hook-with-oval-back-plate) has really helped me with the damp towel situation in the kitchen. It's installed on the side of the cabinet next to the sink so any damp rags that might drip can drain into the sink and dry before being placed down the laundry chute!
Auntie Leila, do you have a visual for what this rack looks like, where is it kept, etc? Right now I have a specific bucket for this purpose, but it's in my laundry room...and it gets "whiffy" fast (of course!😅).
