I'm reading Purgatorio by Dante right now and funny enough those 4 cardinal virtues show up as pretty important (literal stars in the heavens). Looking forward to making more connections as I get farther up the mountain.
I was just coming to ask if you had links as I'm not catholic and am not sure I could pinpoint recordings of all the latin chants. I know the Orthodox versions of some of them but not the catholic chant ones

They truly are the foundation of our humanity! We cannot be rational beings without them!
So often I find that women don’t think we need these virtues, and consequently they outsource them to “experts” which cannot be done.
Purgatorio is such a treat! We started looking up the music mentioned on Youtube--highly recommended! Purgatory is filled with song.
Wait, what music? what youtube??
On each cornice of Mt Purgatory, the people are praying/singing different prayers connected with their sin.
Some are familiar, like the Paternoster in Cornice 1, The Proud. Some were less familiar, like Adhaesit pavimento sung on Cornice 5, The Covetous.
We got in the habit of searching the name of the prayer and listening as we read. Here’s a recording of Adhaesit pavimento. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Wg01W80fns&ab_channel=Magnificat-Topic
Oh I see -- you looked up on youtube the music! I thought there was a particular youtube video that has all the music haha
Great idea!
