Dear Leila, I need cleaning tips for my gas stove and my stainless steel appliances. These two areas in my kitchen are difficult for me to clean and keep clean. They are very heavily used. Please help!

Do you mean the exterior of them? It's really hard! Why I didn't want SS appliances. My DW is SS though.(My range is charcoal gray SS and doesn't show that streakiness.)

I just spray it with a little all-purpose cleaner and wipe it down, polishing with the damp side (not wet) of the soft cloth. I think children can be good at it! Give them something to do while underfoot in the kitchen! "Make this shiny please" haha

I can't say I'm an expert here!

Yes the exterior is always sticky, streaky, greasy, crusty. Same with my burners. What do you use for a cleaning product? Vinegar?

I usually use Method all-purpose cleaner. Vinegar is not going to work well on SS.

My burner pans wipe up really easily -- it depends on the way they are made I think.
