Speaking of getting up and getting dressed, I want to put what I say in context — the context of a woman basically feeling different almost every single day of her life.
I remember one time my husband felt light-headed and actually went to the doctor. I was not quite sure what was troubling him.
Me: “Doesn’t it happen to you that sometimes you just feel light-headed?”
Him: “No, never.”
Me: “Really. Wow.”
It’s a mistake for us women to think we can approach every day with exactly the same energy level and vitality that a man approaches his. There are hours, days, and weeks when we will have to adjust our thoughts about what we can accomplish: sometimes we can do way more than we thought we could, and other times we need to pull in a bit.
It’s how our bodies are made and why it’s possible for us to do the miraculous — have a baby and nourish it!
That’s why we need some good habits, but also a life where we aren’t beholden to some unyielding schedule imposed by someone without reference to our womanhood, even if it means doing with less, materially speaking — it’s better for us and for everyone that way.
If we must lie in a field, it’s best to be dressed and know what’s for dinner, anyway…
As with everything here at the SFH, the best thing is for you to take my ideas, which come from my experience of escaping feminism to enjoy the gift of 45 years of marriage, seven children, and more than a score of grandchildren, and apply them to your situation with discernment, prudence, and confidence — and a sense of humor!

There are times I feel so crazy for feeling so tired and worn out. And then I remember it's most likely hormones, lack of sleep, and needing to eat! What a great point that women need the freedom to honor our never-ending fluctuations. Thank you for this great post!
