Thanks to all who have subscribed, and I am especially grateful to those of you who have taken paid subscriptions! I appreciate your support so much! I have tried to reply if you left me a message — it’s not super easy to do so here on this platform, and some of you have settings that don’t allow me to reply to you, but be assured of my gratitude and prayers!
Here in The School for Housewives the plan is for you to get a little something in your inbox every day of the week (more or less) to help you keep your home. I’m starting with natural fermentation so we can make healthy bread that is good for you and stays fresh for a long time.
We’ll cover all the aspects of homemaking as we go along!
I will try to add the voiceover to all the posts here. You can start this sourdough journey at any point — just go back to the first of the posts. Please share with your homemaking friends and girls’ clubs and any teens who would love to learn how to keep the home.
Day 4:
8T BF* and 3 T +1 tsp water — Mix and let sit in your warm spot.
At this stage you might find it actually slows down a bit, if you have seen bubbles yesterday, and that's normal, if a little disappointing. Keep it warm!
*BF = bread flour (you can use all purpose if that’s what you have). (For all the abbreviations and way more detail including adding rye flour to boost fermentation, go to this post.)
So excited for this School!
